Follow these simple steps to make delicious cupcakes:

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients and set aside.

2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a separate bowl.

3. Add in the wet ingredients and mix well.

4. Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture using a stand mixer until well combined.

5. Pour the batter into a papered cupcake pan.

6. Bake at 350°F for approximately 15-20 minutes.

Instructions for the Buttercream:

1. In a small bowl, melt the cream and chocolate and set aside to cool.

2. Cream the butter until light and fluffy.

3. While mixing, add confectioners’ sugar, then the cream, and mix until the mixture is smooth.

4. Transfer about a quarter of the buttercream to a separate bowl and beat it with the melted chocolate at room temperature. Put it into a piping bag with a 133 tip.

5. Add green food coloring to the remaining mixture, mix well, and then add it to another piping bag fitted with a 133 tip.

Tips for making red velvet cupcakes:

1. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of fondant with orange food coloring until well combined. Roll out the fondant to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into small diamonds. Lightly press a line across the short end of the diamond and fold to a right angle to form the beak.

2. Mix 1¾ cups of fondant with yellow food coloring. Take about a teaspoon of the yellow fondant and roll into a sphere to form the body of the chick.

3. Add two dark sprinkles on the head for the eyes. Use a small amount of water to help the fondant stick together.

4. Pipe grass using green buttercream and a 133 tip. Then, pipe a nest on top using the chocolate buttercream and a 133 tip.

5. Finally, place two to three chicks in each nest and enjoy your Easter-themed cupcakes!
